August/September 2022 EHR and Practice Management Updates

EHR Software Updates

Collapsible Encounters for Individual Patients

Access encounters of multiple patients at one time. View all the encounters accessed and navigate to any of them quickly.

Capture Shift Notes in Bed Board and eMAR

Capture shift notes for the patient from the Bed Board and eMAR modules, chronicling the actions completed for the patient. Users accessing the same patient’s records can refer to those details.

Send Encounter Notes for Co-Signature After the Encounter is Closed

Co-signature requests can be sent on the fly to specific users for in-progress and closed encounters, even if the matching configuration for co-signature isn’t found. Co-signature requests from the Face Sheet and Encounter List screen can also be sent manually as needed.

Mass Email Patients When a Practice Has a Closure

For holidays or other days that a facility is closed, send bulk email blasts to inform patients. Select the desired patients based on any criteria, and the message will be sent during offline hours.

PM Software Updates

Split Total Encounter Duration of Group Sessions to Allocate for Each Participant

Split total encounter duration among each participant in the group session while importing the claim. For example, if the encounter duration is 120 minutes for a group of 10 patients, the system will count 12 minutes for each patient. 10 claims will be generated, 12 minutes for each patient per provider.

If a co-facilitator also participates, the system will count 6 minutes for each patient per provider, with 20 claims will be generated, 6 minutes for each patient per provider.

Automate Patient Payment Collection for Self-Pay Visits

When a patient is configured for Copayment or Self-Pay, the Expected Allowable amount will be automatically collected from the patient.

Save an Electronic Copy of Patient Statements

Preview and save a digital copy of printed or transmitted patient statements in the Document Manager folder.

Set an Effective Date Range for CPT From the Fee Schedule

Configure the Fee Schedule for the desired effective date range. The fees will be pulled in the claim when the DOS of the CPT falls within the effective date range.
